Interestingly, The Guardian was the most referenced on Reddit ever and in the last seven days. While the submissions reveal The Guardian is a highly popular source of submissions, other news media firms are also joining the band. For example, the Daily Telegraph has seen an upsurge in submissions over the last week, nearly matching The Guardian’s popularity.

For other newspapers like The Express, The Financial Times, The Mirror, and The Sun, they still have a long way to catch up. Engaging the social media users and increasing the submission rates for their content could take some time. While the data on the submissions may be overstated because of external links that include the newspaper URLs, it still shows the Guardian remains the trusted source of news on Reddit.
